As we age it makes sense that we need to change behavior. As much as we don’t want to admit it our bodies cannot tolerate the activities we think we can impose upon it. Some good practices while moving forward in our leveling up is to follow some good purpose and activity directives.
- Seeing your PCP and getting Age & Sex related screening exams performed.
- Find an activity. From playing with the grandchildren to pickleball to pool based exercise find something that gets your blood moving. Make sure it falls within the spectrum for safety needs (pool exercise).
- Find a hobby. This could be a regular gym excursion, gardening, or biking as it can combine with your activities as well as the next item…
- Socialize. All blue zones have great social encouragement. Blue zones are areas where people are aging and living past 100 more commonly than other areas. It’s not just the food they eat.
Regardless of your choice it is important to move, learn and grow. Movement is life.
‘Movement is life;’ and it is well to be able to forget the past, and kill the present by continual change. – Jules Verne
